«   Chapter 15   »

1
Brothers, let me remind you of the good news that I gave to you, which you received, and in which you stand.
2
Through it you have become owners of the right hand, if you firmly hold fast and this message of good news that I gave to you. If not, you have believed in vain.
3
I delivered to you the most important matter that I received: that Al-Masih died as a ransom for our sins, in confirmation of what Allah revealed in his kitab.
4
Then he was buried and Allah resurrected him alive on the third day in confirmation of what Allah revealed in his kitab.
5
Then he appeared to Peter, then to the twelve hawariyun.
6
After that he appeared to more than five hundred believing brothers at one time. Most of them are still living, though some of them have passed away.
7
Then he appeared to Yacoub his brother and after him to all the hawariyun.
8
Finally, he appeared to me. I was like a child born at the wrong time.
9
I am only the least of the messengers. I don't deserve the name of "messenger" because I persecuted the jama'a of the people chosen by Allah.
10
But I became what I am by the grace of Allah, and his grace was not given to me in vain. I struggled more than everyone, not with my own effort, but by the power of the grace of Allah that accompanied me.
11
So whether it was I or they, this is what we call people to, and this is what you believed in.
12
If it has been announced that Al-Masih has been resurrected alive from among the dead, how can some of you claim that there is no resurrection or raising of the dead?
13
If the resurrection of the dead were not true, then Al-Masih would not have been resurrected alive.
14
And if Al-Masih had not been resurrected alive, our announcement to you would have been in vain and your trust in him would have been in vain, too.
15
We would have been false witnesses about Allah, because we testified that he resurrected Al-Masih alive. If the resurrection of the dead were not true, he would not have resurrected him.
16
If the resurrection of the dead were not true, then Al-Masih would not have been resurrected.
17
And if Al-Masih had not been resurrected, your trust in him would be worthless, and your sins would be unforgiven.
18
Then the destiny of all who had passed away trusting would be destruction.
19
If our hope in Al-Masih is for gains in the life of this world only, we more than all the children of Adam are the most worthy of people feeling sorry for us.
20
But the truth is that Al-Masih was resurrected alive. He became the first fruits of those who have passed away and have been resurrected alive.
21
If death happened through one man, then the resurrection of the dead will happen through one man.
22
As everyone by their belonging to Adam will die, so everyone who belongs to Al-Masih will be resurrected alive.
23
But each one has his rank: Al-Masih is the first fruits of those who are resurrected, and after him, those who belong to him on the day of his coming.
24
Then on the last day, Al-Masih will deliver the kingdom to Allah Al-Malik Al-Rahman after destroying every rule and authority and power.
25
Al-Masih must reign until he puts all his enemies under his feet.
26
The final enemy he will destroy is death.
27
This confirms the saying of Allah: "Allah subjugated everything under his feet." But by saying that he subjugated everything to him, of course, this does not include Allah who subjugated everything to him.
28
Then after Allah subjugates everything to him, the beloved Amir himself will be subjugated to Allah who subjugated everything to him, so that the whole matter will belong to Allah.
29
If the matter were not so, what are the people who are washed with the ghusl of faith on behalf of dead people doing? If the dead are not resurrected, why are those people washed for them?
30
Why do we risk our lives all the time?
31
Brothers, I confirm to you by my boasting in you in Al-Masih, our mawla Isa, that I die daily!
32
Did I wrestle wild animals in Ephesus for human benefit? If the dead are not resurrected, let us eat and drink, because we will die tomorrow.
33
Do not be misled: "Being around evil people ruins noble morals."
34
You must wake up and think. Do not sin, since some of you are jahil of everything about Allah. By this statement of mine, I have exposed your shame!
35
One of you will ask: How does Allah resurrect the dead? In what body are they resurrected?
36
Jahil person, the sown seed does not live if it does not die.
37
What is sown is not like what sprouts. Rather, it is merely a grain of wheat or another grain.
38
Allah gives it a shape that he wills, since each kind of seed has its own shape.
39
Not all bodies are like each other, since there is a body of the children of Adam and another of animals. Birds have another body and fish have another body.
40
There are heavenly bodies and bodies of this world. The brilliance of the heavenly body is different from that of the earthly body.
41
The brilliance of the sun differs from the brilliance of the moon and the brilliance of the stars, and each star is different from the other starts in brilliance.
42
The resurrection of the dead is the same: What was sown in corruption is resurrected without corruption.
43
What is sown without honor is resurrected in glory and brilliance. What is sown in weakness is resurrected in strength.
44
As a natural body it is sown, and as a spiritual body it is resurrected. As there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45
As it is written in the kitab of Allah: "The first person, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a spirit that gives life.
46
But the spiritual is not before the natural, but after it.
47
The first person was earthly, from soil, but the second person was from the heavens.
48
As is the earthly Adam, so are those who are earthly. As is Isa the heavenly, so are those who are heavenly.
49
As we children of Adam bear the image of the earthly Adam, let us who belong to him bear the image of the heavenly Isa.
50
Brothers, I confirm to you that flesh and blood will not have a portion in the kingdom of Allah, and the perishable will not inherit the everlasting home.
51
Listen to me! I will reveal a mystery to you: We will all pass away, but we will not all be changed,
52
suddenly, in the blink of an eye, when the final trumpet is blown. The trumpet will be blown, and then the dead will be resurrected alive and imperishable forever. But we will be changed.
53
This perishable body must wear imperishable clothing, and this human body must wear everlasting clothing.
54
When the perishable wears the imperishable and the human wears the everlasting, what Allah revealed in his book will be fulfilled: "Death was swallowed in totality of victory."
55
And "Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?"
56
The sting of death is disobedience, and the strength of disobedience is the sharia.
57
But Alhamdulillah to the Wahhab of victory to us through our mawla Isa Al-Masih!
58
Beloved brothers, be firm and not shaken, always dedicated to the work of our mawla, knowing that your struggles for the sake of our mawla are not in vain.
