First Thessalonians

«   Chapter 5

1
But as far as the timing of these happenings, there is no need for anything to be written to you, brothers.
2
You know with certainty that the day of vengeance of Al-Mawla will come when people do not expect it. It will be like a thief coming at night.
3
When people give each other the good news of peace and safety, destruction will surprise them like labor pains surprise a pregnant woman. None of them will escape.
4
But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that that day will come suddenly on you like a thief.
5
You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night or of darkness.
6
So let us be careful not to sleep like them. Instead, we should stay alert and awake.
7
Sleepers sleep at night, and drunkards get drunk at night.
8
But we people of the day must keep awake, armed with the body armor of trust and love, and the helmet of certain hope of salvation.
9
For Allah has not written a destiny of his anger for us. Rather, we will win his saving mercy through our mawla Isa Al-Masih.
10
He died as a ransom for us so that we could live with him, whether we are awake in life, or asleep in death.
11
So encourage and strengthen each other, as you are doing.
12
Brothers, we ask you to respect the people who work among you, lead you, and warn you in the footsteps of Al-Masih.
13
Treat them with great dignity and love them because of their work. Live in peace among yourselves.
14
Brothers, we urge you to warn lazy people, support fearful people, assist weak people, and bear patiently with everyone.
15
Don't return bad for bad, but always seek what is good for each other and everyone.
16
Be joyful always.
17
Pray in dua' to your Rabb without interruption.
18
Always praise and thank him in every situation. This is the will of Allah for you who belong to Al-Masih Isa.
19
Don't extinguish Ruh Allah.
20
Don't disdain the prophecies of the brothers.
21
But test everything and hold on to what is good.
22
Stay far away from all kinds of evil.
23
May the Rabb of peace make you tahir in complete holiness. May you be kept without blame in spirit, soul, and body until the coming of our mawla Isa Al-Masih.
24
Allah, who is faithful to his promise, has called you, and he will keep his promise.
25
Brothers, pray in dua' for us to Allah.
26
Greet all the brothers with a tahir kiss.
27
In the name of our mawla, please read this letter before all the brothers.
28
The grace of our mawla Isa Al-Masih be with you. Amen.
