First Timothy

«   Chapter 6

1
People who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters and worthy of all honor. This is so that no one will insult the name of Allah and our teaching.
2
If a master is a believer, his believing slave should not disdain him because he is a brother. He should serve him better, because the person benefiting from his service is a believer, and beloved to his heart. Teach and urge them about these things.
3
Suppose someone spreads different teaching and refuses the sound words of our mawla Isa Al-Masih and the teaching of reverence.
4
That person is proud, jahil, and sick in his arguments and questions. That leads to jealousy, strife, lies, evil suspicions,
5
and endless discussions among people who have corrupt minds and have lost the knowledge of the truth. They think that reverence has material benefits.
6
Reverence with contentment has great benefit.
7
We entered this world empty-handed and we will leave it the same way.
8
If we have food and covering, this will be enough.
9
But a person who wants riches will fall into a testing because of them, into a trap, and intofoolish, harmful passions that drown people in destruction and ruin.
10
For the love of money is the origin of all forms of evil. Some people who have passionately desired it have gone astray from the faith. They have pierced themselves with many pains.
11
But as for you, a slave dedicated to Allah, avoid these things and follow the path of righteousness, reverence, trust, love, patience and meekness.
12
Struggle the struggle of good trust. Hold on to the eternal spiritual life that you were called to. You gave a complete shahada to it in front of many witnesses.
13
I urge you by Allah, the Muhyi of everyone, and by Al-Masih Isa, who gave a complete shahada before Pontius Pilate,
14
to follow this command without shortcoming or blame until our mawla Isa Al-Masih appears.
15
This will be done by Allah, may he be blessed. He alone is Al-Muhaymin. He is king of kings and master of masters.
16
He is the only Rabb of eternity. He resides in light which no one can approach. No one has ever seen him, and no one can see him. He has honor and eternal might. Amen.
17
Command the rich in this world not to be proud, and not to trust in riches, which disappear. Instead, they should trust in Allah, the Raziq of everything. He is the Mughni of people so that they would enjoy his blessings.
18
They should do good deeds. They should be rich in righteous deeds. They should be generous in giving to others some of what Allah has given to them.
19
In this way, they will store up for themselves a firm treasure for the life to come. They will also firmly hold on to true life.
20
Timothy, guard this charge which you were entrusted with. Avoid empty, unclean words and the contradictions of what people falsely call "knowledge."
21
Some people who claim to have that have gone astray from the path of faith. May the grace of Allah be with you all.
