Second Corinthians
« Chapter 4 »
1
Since we have this service by mercy from Allah, our resolve does not grow weak.
2
Rather, we have renounced all shameful work and we do not walk with deceit or corrupt the meaning of the word of Allah. Rather, by showing the truth publicly, we subject ourselves to the consciences of everyone before Allah.
3
If our good news is veiled, it is only veiled to those who are perishing,
4
the disbelievers. Al-Shaitan, the ruler of this world, has blinded their understanding so that they will not see the light of the good news of the splendor of Al-Masih. He is the word of Allah who expresses absolutely the nature of Allah.
5
We do not announce ourselves. Rather, we announce that Al-Masih Isa is mawla, and that we are slaves for you for his sake.
7
But we carry this treasure in pottery vessels, so that it would be clear that this exceeding power is from Allah, not from us.
8
Despite being disturbed on every side, we do not fall. Though we are puzzled, we are not disappointed.
9
We are persecuted, but Allah does not desert us. We are cast down on the ground but we are not destroyed.
10
We always carry the death of Isa in our bodies, so that the life of Isa would be revealed in our bodies also.
11
We living ones are always delivered to death for the sake of Isa, so that the life of Isa would be shown in human bodies also.
12
So death is effective in us, and life is effective in you.
14
We know that the one who resurrected our mawla Isa alive will resurrect us also with Isa, and present us with you between his hands.
16
Therefore, our resolve does not weaken when our outer bodies are failing, since we are being renewed within ourselves day after day.
17
For this light, fleeting suffering causes an unimaginable quantity of greatness of eternal glory,
18
since we do not look to what can be seen, but to what cannot be seen. The visible passes away, but the invisible is eternal.
