Second John

  Chapter 1  

1
From the sheikh to the chosen lady and her children whom I love in the truth, as everyone who knows the truth loves them.
مِنَ الشَّيْخِ إِلَى السَّيِّدَةِ الْمُصْطَفَاةِ وَأَطْفَالِهَا الَّذِينَ أُحِبُّهُمْ فِي الْحَقِّ كَمَا يُحِبُّهُمْ أَيْضًا جَمِيعُ عَارِفِي الْحَقِّ،

This is because of the truth that remains in us, and will remain with us forever.
بِسَبَبِ الْحَقِّ الْبَاقِي فِينَا وَالَّذِي سَيَبْقَى مَعَنَا إِلَى الْأَبَدِ.

Grace, mercy and peace will remain with us from Allah Al-Malik Al-Rahman, and from Isa Al-Masih, the Amir, the beloved of Al-Malik Al-Rahman, in truth and love.
سَيَبْقَى مَعَنَا الْفَضْلُ وَالرَّحْمَةُ وَالسَّلَامُ مِنَ اللهِ الْمَلِكِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَمِنْ عِيسَى الْمَسِيحِ الْأَمِيرِ حَبِيبِ الْمَلِكِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِالْحَقِّ وَالْمَحَبَّةِ.

I rejoiced greatly, since I found someone who walks on the path of truth among your children, as Al-Malik Al-Rahman has commanded us.
لَقَدْ فَرِحْتُ كَثِيرًا إِذْ وَجَدْتُ مَنْ يَسْلُكُ سَبِيلَ الْحَقِّ بَيْنَ أَطْفَالِكِ، كَمَا أَمَرَنَا الْمَلِكُ الرَّحْمَنُ.

But now, lady, I do not write a new commandment to you, but rather an old commandment that you received from the beginning, that we love each other.
أَمَّا الْآنَ، أَيَّتُهَا السَّيِّدَةُ، فَلَا أَكْتُبُ إِلَيْكِ أَمْرًا جَدِيدًا، بَلْ أَمْرًا قَدِيمًا اسْتَلَمْنَاهُ مُنْذُ الْبِدَايَةِ، وَهُوَ أَنْ يُحِبَّ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا.

Love is walking according to his commandments, as you have heard from the beginning. His commandment is for you to walk the path of love.
فَإِنَّ الْمَحَبَّةَ هِيَ السُّلُوكُ حَسَبَ أَوَامِرِهِ، كَمَا سَمِعْتُمْ مُنْذُ الْبِدَايَةِ، أَمْرُهُ أَنْ تَسْلُكُوا سَبِيلَ الْمَحَبَّةِ.

Deceivers have gone out into the world denying the coming of Isa Al-Masih as a human. This deceiver is Al-Masih Al-Dajjal!
فَقَدْ خَرَجَ مُخَادِعُونَ كَثِيرُونَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا يُنْكِرُونَ مَجِيءَ عِيسَى الْمَسِيحِ كَبَشَرٍ. وَهَذَا هُوَ الْمُخَادِعُ الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ!

Beware for yourselves, so that you will not lose the result of our effort, but rather that you would win a complete reward.
فَاحْذَرُوا لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ لِئَلَّا تَخْسَرُوا نَتِيجَةَ جُهْدِنَا، بَلْ تَفُوزُوا بِجَزَاءٍ كَامِلٍ.

Whoever departs from the teaching of Al-Masih, and does not remain firmly in him does not belong to Allah. The one who remains firmly in his teaching belongs to Al-Malik Al-Rahman and to the beloved Amir.
كُلُّ مَنْ خَرَجَ عَنْ تَعْلِيمِ الْمَسِيحِ وَلَمْ يَبْقَ رَاسِخًا فِيهِ، لَا يَنْتَمِي إِلَى اللهِ، أَمَّا مَنْ يَبْقَى رَاسِخًا فِي تَعْلِيمِهِ فَهُوَ يَنْتَمِي إِلَى الْمَلِكِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَالْأَمِيرِ الْحَبِيبِ.

If anyone comes with teaching other than this, do not receive him in your houses, and do not greet them.
وَإِنْ جَاءَكُمْ أَحَدٌ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا التَّعْلِيمِ، فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوهُ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ وَلَا تُسَلِّمُوا عَلَيْهِ،

The one who greets him has become his partner in his evil deeds.
إِذْ مَنْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ أَصْبَحَ شَرِيكَهُ فِي أَعْمَالِهِ الشِّرِّيرَةِ.

I want to write you about many matters, but not with ink on paper. Rather, I hope to visit you and speak to you face to face, so that our joy would be completed.
أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَكْتُبَ لَكُمْ عَنْ أُمُورٍ كَثِيرَةٍ، لَكِنْ لَيْسَ بِحِبْرٍ عَلَى الْوَرَقِ، بَلْ أَتَمَنَّى أَنْ أَزُورَكُمْ وَأُكَلِّمَكُمْ وَجْهًا لِوَجْهٍ حَتَّى يَكْتَمِلَ فَرَحُنَا.

The children of your chosen sister greet you.
يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكِ أَطْفَالُ أُخْتِكِ الْمُصْطَفَاةِ.
