Second Peter

Beloved ones, this is the second letter I am writing to you to remind you, so that I can stir up sincere thoughts in you.

Remember the words of the righteous anbiya and the command of our victorious mawla, the ransomer, which we hawariyun passed on to you.

Know first that in the last days, mocking people will come, desiring their passions and saying:

"Where is the fulfillment of the promise of his coming? Since the death of our first fathers, and even since the beginning of creation itself, nothing has changed."

They deliberately ignore that Allah created heavens in ancient times and formed the earth out of water and through water by his word.

By it, the flood drowned the ancient world and destroyed it by water.

But the current sky and earth remain by the same word, preserved for the fire of Yawm Al-Din when sinners are destroyed.

Beloved ones, do not be jahil that one day with Allah is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day.

Allah is not slow in fulfilling his promise, like some people consider slowness. Rather, he is patient over you, not desiring the destruction of anyone. He wants everyone to repent.

The day of revenge of our mawla will come when people do not expect it, like the coming of a thief. The sky will disappear with a thunderous sound, the elements will dissolve with fire, and the earth and the works on it will be stripped naked.

If these things will be dissolved, should not your lives be characterized with reverence and the fear of Allah,

while we wait and hasten the coming of the day of Allah? Then the sky will be burned and the elements will dissolve and melt with fire.

According to the promise of Allah, we wait for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

So, my beloved ones, as you wait for all these things, strive to be peaceable, purified, and faultless at his coming.

Consider that the patience of our mawla has saved you, as our beloved brother Paul has written to you with the wisdom that was given to him.

He has written about these matters in all his letters. Some of the matters are unclear and the jahil, doubting people corrupt their meanings, just as they do with the rest of the holy books. Their destiny will be miserable.

Beloved ones, beware of those rebellious people who have gone astray. I have warned you in advance, so that you would not turn back from your firmness in the faith.

Prosper in the knowledge and grace that are in our mawla Isa Al-Masih, our victorious rescuer, who has splendor now and forever and ever.
