Colossians

«   Chapter 3   »

1
You have been resurrected alive with Al-Masih. So seek what is in the heavens, where Al-Masih is sitting at the right side of Allah.
2
Focus your thoughts on things of heaven, not on things of this world.
3
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Al-Masih in Allah.
4
When Al-Masih, who is your life, appears, you also will appear with him in his splendor.
5
So put to death what is worldly in you: immorality, uncleanness, sin, evil passions, and greed, which is like worshiping idols.
6
Because of these things, the anger of Allah rests on the sons of disobedience.
7
You also walked in them previously when you were submerged in them.
8
But now, get rid of all these: fury, anger, hatred, lying, and obscene speech from your mouths.
9
Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old, worldly existence with its practices.
10
You have put on the new existence, which is renewed in knowledge according to the nature of Allah who created it.
11
There is no longer any difference between a Greek and a Yahudi, nor between a circumcised person, an uncircumcised person, a barbarian, or a savage, nor between a slave or a free person. Al-Masih is everything and in everything.
12
So you holy, chosen ones who are beloved by Allah, put on emotions of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience.
13
Bear with one another and pardon each other. If one of you has a complaint against another, as Allah has forgiven your sins, you must also pardon others.
14
Above all, put on love. It is the perfect bond.
15
Let the peace of Al-Masih control your hearts, since this is why Allah called you to one body. And be thankful.
16
Let the word of Al-Masih dwell in you in all its riches. Then you will teach and warn each other in all wisdom. You will sing anthems from the Zabur, praises, and spiritual anthems, and you will thank Allah from your hearts.
17
Let your actions and your speech in everything be in the name of our mawla Isa. Praise Allah Al-Malik Al-Rahman through him, with thanks.
18
Wives, submit to your husbands as is appropriate to your mawla.
19
Husbands, love your wives, and do not be disturbed with bitterness toward them.
20
Children, obey your parents in everything. In this way you will obtain the rida of your mawla.
21
Fathers, do not make your children angry, so that they become frustrated.
22
Slaves, obey your human masters in everything, not only when you are being supervised, like someone who tries to obtain the rida of people. Do it with a sincere heart, in fear of your mawla.
23
Whatever you do, do it from the depth of your souls for the sake of your mawla, not for the sake of humans.
24
You know that you will be repaid by your mawla with your portion: your inheritance in Al-Janna. So serve our mawla Al-Masih.
25
And the unjust person will also be repaid for his injustice, since Allah is Al-Hakam Al-Adl.
