Hebrews

  Chapter 1   »

1
Allah spoke to our fathers in ancient times by anbiya at various times and in many ways.
2
But in these last days, he has spoken to us by his beloved Amir, whom he made owner of everything, and through whom Allah created the universe.
3
He is also the shining of the splendor of Allah and the true manifestation of his essence. By his almighty command, he makes everything happen. After he completed purification for the sins of people, he sat down at the right hand of Allah Al-Aly Al-Azim .
4
So he ascended above the angels, since the name he inherited is greater than their names.
5
Allah did not speak to an angel as he spoke to him, when he said: "You are my beloved Amir; today I have made you unique to me," and: "I as king will be a father to him, and he as Amir will be a son to me."
6
He also said, when he sent the unique Amir into the world: "All of you angels, bow down to him!"
7
Allah said about the angels in the Zabur: "Allah made his angels Arwah and he made his servants a flame of fire."
8
But he spoke to the beloved Amir: "Your throne stands by Allah forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.
9
You have loved justice and hated disobedience. So Allah, your Rabb, has appointed you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of happiness."
10
He also said: "Al-mawla, you made a foundation for the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11
They will disappear, but you are Al-Baqi. All of them will wear out like a robe.
12
You will roll them up like a woolen cloak and exchange it like an old robe. But you will not change, and your years will never end."
13
Allah did not give greatness to an angel as he gave greatness to the beloved Amir, when he said, "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet."
14
For angels are only Arwah who worship Allah. They are sent to serve those who are owners of the right hand.
