Hebrews

«   Chapter 4   »

1
So, as long as the promise of Allah to enter his rest is valid, let us be afraid, so that none of you would seem to have be disappointed in his effort to enter it.
2
We heard the good news like they did, but the word that was heard did not benefit them, since the listeners did not trust it.
3
But we who trust enter that rest, as he said, "I swore in my anger: They will not enter my rest." This is despite the fact that his works had been completed since the creation of the universe.
4
He said in the Tawrat about the seventh day: "Allah ceased from all his works on the seventh day."
5
Then he says again, "They will not enter my rest."
6
If entering the rest remains for some people, and those who were given good news of it previously did not enter it because of their disobedience,
7
Allah has designated another day by saying: "Today" in the verse revealed to Dawood many centuries after that. That is the verse mentioned before: "If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts."
8
If Yusa' Bin Nun had caused them to enter that rest, Allah would not have made mention later of another day.
9
So the rest of Al-Sabt remains existent for the umma of Allah.
10
The person who enters the rest of Allah ceases from his work as Allah ceased from his work.
11
Let us strive to enter this rest, so that no one will fall in the same way as the disobedience of those people.
12
The word of Allah is alive, effective and sharper than any two-edged sword. In its piercing, it divides between the soul and the spirit, and between the joints and the bone marrow. It distinguishes the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13
Nothing created is hidden from Allah. Everyone is naked and exposed in front of the eyes of Al-Haseeb Al-Muhsi.
14
Let us hold fast to our shahada, because Isa, the beloved Amir of Allah is the one whom Allah raised through the heavens to himself. He has become our great intercessor.
15
Our great intercessor is not unable to understand our weakness. He suffered exactly the same trials, but without committing any sin.
16
So let us confidently approach the throne of Al-Mun'im who has great grace, so that we can receive mercy and find grace to aid us in times of need.
