Hebrews
« Chapter 5 »
1
Every chief habr was appointed from among people to intercede with Allah for the sake of the people by means of qurbans and sacrifices, which are offered to expiate sins.
2
He was able to empathize with people who are jahil and have gone astray, because he is a person who is surrounded by weakness.
3
So he had to offer sacrifices to expiate the sins of the people and also his own sins.
4
No one appointed himself to this position of honor. Rather, Allah chose the person he willed, as he chose Harun.
7
In the days of Isa's human life on earth, Isa raised up dua' prayers, and supplicated with strong shouts and tears to Allah, who was able to save him from death, and Allah answered him because of his humility and reverence.
8
Though he is the beloved Amir, he learned obedience through his pains.
9
After he had finished his work, he became the means through which everyone who obeys him can receive the eternal mercy of Allah.
10
This is because Allah appointed him as a great, interceding habr with the rank of Melchizadek.
11
We have many words about this that we want to explain to you, but it is difficult for you because of your apathy in listening and understanding.
12
You were obliged to become teachers because of the long time that you have spent in faith, but you are still in need of someone to teach you the foundational elements of the words of Allah. You need milk, not solid food.
13
Everyone whose food is limited to milk is a nursing child. He has no experience in teaching righteousness.
14
But mature believers eat solid food, because they have trained their ability to comprehend by practice to distinguish good from evil.
