Hebrews

«   Chapter 6   »

1
So let us leave the words about the basic matters connected with Al-Masih, and strive for complete maturity, without being concerned again with foundational matters like repentance from worthless, dead works, faith in Allah,
2
teaching about wudu', ghusl, placing of hands, Yawm Al-Qiyamah, and eternal hellfire.
3
We will do this, inshallah.
4
Some people were enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, were given a portion of holy Ruh Allah,
5
tasted the goodness of the words of Allah and the ayat of the hereafter,
6
and after that turned back. It is impossible for those people to repent again, since they again crucified the beloved Amir of Allah to their loss, and expose him to shame publicly.
7
They are like the ground which drank the many rains that fell on it. If it produces crops that benefit its owners, Allah will bless it.
8
But if it produces thorns and pricks, it is rejected and becomes within a hair of being cursed. Its punishment is hellfire.
9
But despite these harsh words, beloved, we are certain that there are better things for you -- things that are suitable for owners of the right hand.
10
Allah is not so unjust as to forget your striving and showing your love for his name, which was apparent in your continuing service for the holy believers.
11
We desire that each one of you show the same zeal to stay confident in the sure hope until the end.
12
Do not be lazy, but be mentored by those who inherit the promises of Allah by their confidence and patience.
13
Allah promised Ibrahim a promise, and since Allah is greater than anything that could be sworn by, he swore by himself.
14
He told him: "I will certainly give you the baraka you of my baraka and increase you greatly."
15
Thus Ibrahim was patient and received the promise.
16
People swear by someone who is greater than themselves. Swearing ends conflicts since it confirms their words.
17
Therefore, when Allah willed to show with certainty the constancy of his will, he confirmed it by an oath.
18
By these two predestined matters, in which far be it from Allah to lie, we who have taken refuge in him are very much encouraged to hold tightly to the sure hope offered to us.
19
This hope of ours is a strong, faithful anchor to our souls, and it causes us to enter the most holy haram behind the veil.
20
Isa previously entered there instead of us, since he became an interceding habr forever with the rank of Melchizadek.
