Hebrews

«   Chapter 9   »

1
The first covenant had obligations for worship and for the earthly haram.
2
The first part of the tent was set up, and it was the holy haram of Allah. The lamp and the table for bread offered as a qurban to Allah were in it.
3
Behind the second veil was the second part, and it was the holiest haram of Allah.
4
It had the golden incense burner and the ark of the covenant of Allah, which was all gold-plated, and in which were the golden vessel containing the manna, the stick of Harun that budded, and the two slabs of the covenant.
5
The two guardian angels were shining above the ark and shadowing its cover, named the expiation cover, with their wings. But we cannot provide more details now.
6
Then, after these matters were arranged, the interceding ahbar would enter the first part every time to do their rituals.
7
But no one entered the second except the chief habr once a year. He entered it with blood to offer as expiation for himself and for the bad deeds that the people had committed in jahl.
8
In this, holy Ruh Allah makes it clear to us that the way to the holiest haram of Allah has not been exposed as long as the first tent is standing.
9
That is also a symbol of the present age, in which the offering of qarabin and sacrifices are unable to improve the conscience of the worshiper.
10
The matter only concerns foods, drinks, and methods of doing wudu'. These are temporary, physical obligations until the time of reform comes.
11
But Al-Masih appeared as the greatest intercessor according to the good things that are coming. He entered the greater tent of worship, which is more perfect and was made by Allah. No creature's hand worked on it.
12
He entered once into the holiest haram, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood, and he ransomed us with an eternal ransom.
13
Sprinkling of the blood of goats and bulls, along with ashes of a cow, on people who have been made unclean makes them holy by purifying their bodies.
14
Then the blood of Al-Masih, who offered himself to Allah by eternal Ruh Allah as a faultless qurban, will much more purify your consciences from useless, dead deeds so that we can worship Allah Al-Hayy!
15
So he is the mediator of a new covenant, a new will, because a death has happened to ransom people from the violations they committed in the first covenant. Thus those who have been chosen can obtain the promise of the eternal covenant.
16
To execute the contents of a will, the death of the testator of the will must first be proven.
17
Executing a will only happens properly after the death of the testator. It is not valid as long as the testator is still alive.
18
Even the first covenant did not become valid without blood.
19
Musa read all the commandments of the sharia to all the people, and then he took the blood of calves and goats, along with the water and the crimson wool, and sprinkled the blood with a hyssop on the book and on all the people.
20
He said, "This is the blood of the covenant" about which Allah commands you.
21
Then he sprinkled blood on the tent of worship and all its ritual containers.
22
Almost everything is purified with blood according to the law, and there is no forgiveness without shedding blood.
23
So it was necessary to purify the earthly symbols with these sacrifices, but the heavenly matters themselves need a better sacrifice.
24
Al-Masih did not enter a haram made by human hands, which symbolizes the true haram. He entered heaven itself, where he appears now in the presence of Allah as our intercessor.
25
He did not need to present himself many times like the chief habr, who enters the holiest haram of Allah every year to present the blood of something other than himself.
26
Otherwise, Al-Masih would have had to suffer pains and die many times since the creation of the universe. But he appeared once at the fulfillment of time to eliminate sins by the sacrifice of himself.
27
Allah has written that people would have an appointed time to die once, and after that they will face Yawm Al-Din.
28
In the same way, Al-Masih offered himself as a sacrifice to bear the sins of many, and he will appear a second time, not to bear sins but to save those who are waiting for him.
