«   Chapter 5

1
Rich people, come on! Cry and wail over the disasters that will afflict you.
2
Your wealth has spoiled and moths have eaten your clothing.
3
Your gold and silver have rusted. Their rust will testify against you and eat your bodies like fire. You have saved up treasure for the last days.
4
You have unrighteously taken the wages of the people who harvested your fields, and these wages shout against you. Al-Sami', the Rabb of the armies of heaven, has heard the complaint of those harvesters.
5
You have lived extravagantly in this world in luxury. You have fattened your hearts like a fatted calf for the day of sacrifice.
6
You have condemned the innocent and killed him. He did not resist you.
7
My brothers, be patient until the time of the coming of our mawla like the farmer who waits for the precious fruit of the earth. He is patient until the autumn and spring rains come.
8
You also be patient. Make your hearts firm. The coming of our mawla is soon.
9
Brothers, do not complain against each other so that you will not be condemned. The judge is standing at the doors.
10
Brothers, be mentored by the anbiya who spoke in the name of Allah and suffered pain patiently.
11
We consider patient people blessed. You have heard of the patience of Ayyub, and you have known the purpose of Rabb Al-Alamin, that your Rabb is Ra'ouf and Rahim.
12
My brothers, before everything else, do not swear oaths, whether by heaven, earth, or with any other oath. Let your word be yes if it is yes and no if it is no, so that you would not be condemned.
13
Is there someone suffering from something among you? Let him pray a dua' to his Rabb. Is there anyone among you who is happy? Let him praise Allah with an anthem.
14
Is there anyone among you who is sick? Let him call the chosen sheikhs of the jama'a so they can pray a dua' of healing for him and anoint him with oil in the name of our mawla.
15
A confident dua' prayer heals the sick person, and our mawla raises him up. And if he has sinned, his sins will be forgiven.
16
Confess your sins to each other, and pray dua' for each other, so that you can be healed. The dua' prayer of a righteous person has great power in its effects.
17
Ilyas was a human like us, and he prayed dua' severely that rain would not fall, and no rain fell on the earth for a period of three years and six months.
18
Then he prayed dua' again, and Al-Mughith answered him and sent rain and the earth became fruitful.
19
Brothers, if one of you goes astray from the truth and someone else returns him to it,
20
let him know that the person who returns a sinner from the path of being astray will have saved a soul from death and covered many sins.
