« Chapter 16
1
After the end of Al-Sabt, Mariam Magdalene and Mariam Um Yacoub and Salome bought spices so they might come and perfume his body.
وَبَعْدَ انْتِهَاءِ السَّبْتِ، اِشْتَرَتْ مَرْيَمُ الْمَجْدَلِيَّةُ وَمَرْيَمُ أُمُّ يَعْقُوبَ وَسَلُّومَةُ أَطْيَابًا لِتَعْطِيرِ جُثْمَانِهِ.

Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the grave when the sun rose.
وَفِي يَوْمِ الْأَحَدِ مُبَكِّرًا، أَتَيْنَ إِلَى الْقَبْرِ عِنْدَ شُرُوقِ الشَّمْسِ،

They said to each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance to the grave for us?"
وَفِي الطَّرِيقِ كُنَّ يَتَسَاءَلْنَ: «مَنْ سَيُدَحْرِجُ لَنَا الْحَجَرَ عَنْ مَدْخَلِ الْقَبْرِ؟»

But they looked and saw that the stone had already been rolled away. For it was very large.
وَلَكِنْ عِنْدَمَا تَطَلَّعْنَ، رَأَيْنَ أَنَّ الْحَجَرَ قَدْ دُحْرِجَ رَغْمَ ضَخَامَتِهِ،

When they entered the grave, they saw a young man in a white robe, sitting on the right side. They were alarmed.
فَدَخَلْنَ الْقَبْرَ وَوَجَدْنَ شَابًا فِي ثَوْبٍ أَبْيَضَ جَالِسًا عَلَى الْيَمِينِ، فَارْتَعَبْنَ.

But he told them, "Do not be alarmed! You are seeking Isa, who was crucified. He has been resurrected alive and is not here! Look at the place where they put him.
فَقَالَ لَهُنَّ: «لَا تَرْتَعِبْنَ! أَنْتُنَّ تَبْحَثْنَ عَنْ عِيسَى الَّذِي صُلِبَ، وَهُوَ قَدْ بُعِثَ حَيًّا وَلَيْسَ هُنَا! اُنْظُرْنَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي وَضَعُوهُ فِيهِ.

Go and tell his hawariyun, especially Peter, that he is going before you to Al-Jalil. There you will see him as he told you."
اِذْهَبْنَ وَأَخْبِرْنَ حَوَارِيِّيهِ وَصَخْرًا خَاصَّةً، إِنَّهُ يَسْبِقُكُمْ إِلَى الْجَلِيلِ، وَهُنَاكَ تُبْصِرُونَهُ حَسَبَ قَوْلِهِ.»
