Philippians
Chapter 1 »
1
From Paul and Timothy, two slaves of Al-Masih Isa, to all the chosen people, holy by their belonging to Al-Masih Isa, in the city of Philippi, and to the overseers and servants.
3
I praise and thank Allah whenever you come to my mind.
4
Whenever I pray dua' to Allah for you all, I pray dua' to him with joy
5
because of your sharing in the good news from the first day until now.
6
For I am certain that Allah who began his good work in you will keep completing it until the day of the coming of Al-Masih Isa.
7
It is right for me to have this feeling toward you, because you have entered my heart. You have all shared grace with me, whether it is in my prison or in my defense and support of the good news.
8
Allah is witness how much I miss you all. It wells up from the love of Al-Masih Isa.
9
I pray dua' that your love will increase with overflowing knowledge and all insight.
10
Then you can distinguish what is best, and be sincere and tahir until the day of the coming of Al-Masih.
11
You will be filled with the fruit of the righteousness that comes from Isa Al-Masih. To Allah be splendor and praise.
12
Brothers, I want you to know that the things that happened to me have led to spreading of the good news.
13
All the imperial guards and all the others know that I am in prison for the sake of Al-Masih.
14
Because of my chains, most of the brothers and more confident in our mawla, and they are speaking the word of Allah with more boldness and without fear.
15
Yes, there is a group of them that proclaim Al-Masih with a motive of jealousy and competition, but there are others who proclaim it with good intentions,
16
motives of love, knowing that Allah has entrusted the defense of the good news to me.
17
The group that proclaims Al-Masih from selfish motives and not from good intentions thinks that this will bother me in prison.
18
This is no problem, since Al-Masih is proclaimed in any case, whether by pretending or in truth, so this makes me joyful. Yes! I will rejoice,
19
for I know that Allah will answer your dua' prayer, and he will help me by the Ruh of Isa Al-Masih, and I will be saved.
20
I have a certain hope that I will not be ashamed in anything, but that Al-Masih will always be honored in my body with all boldness, whether by my life or my death.
21
Life for me is Al-Masih, and death is winning!
22
To me, life in the body of this world means doing fruitful work. But I don't know which of them to choose.
23
My soul is struggling over the two choices. My desire is to depart to be with Al-Masih, because that is absolutely better for me.
24
But my remaining for you is more necessary.
25
Since I am certain of this, I know that I will remain with all of you, so that you will joyfully progress in your trusting.
26
So, you will boast greatly in Al-Masih Isa because of my returning to you.
27
The most important thing is for you to walk in a manner worthy of the good news of Al-Masih. Then if I come to you or remain absent from you, I will hear that you are standing firm in one Ruh and one soul, striving for the sake of the trust contained in the good news,
28
not afraid of your opponents in any way. This will be a clear ayah to them of their destruction and of your deliverance from Allah.
29
For Allah has blessed you, not only to trust in Al-Masih, but to suffer pain for his sake also,
30
because you are struggling in the same struggle that you saw and now hear about.
