First Peter
« Chapter 3 »
1
In the same way, wives, submit to your husbands, and through your behavior, without a word, you will win those husbands who disobey the word
2
when they see your chastity, reverence, and behavior.
3
Let your beauty not be in outward, visible adornment, like braiding hair, wearing gold jewelry, and clothing.
4
Rather, it should be the inner, hidden beauty, the beauty of a calm, meek spirit. This precious beauty gives rida to Allah.
5
In the same way, the righteous women who trusted in Allah in ancient times were adorned with submission to their husbands,
6
like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and would call him her master. You now are her daughters when you do what is good, not fearing what will happen to you.
7
Husbands, live with your wives in a way that takes their weakness into account, and honor them as partners in the inheritance of the varied grace of life. Otherwise, Allah will not answer your dua' prayers, and will not pay attention to your salat.
8
Finally, all of you be harmonious in opinion, compassionate, loving each other as brothers, merciful to each other, and humble.
9
Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult, but pray dua' for the baraka of Allah, knowing that Allah called you to this so that you would inherit his baraka.
10
For Allah said: "The person who desires to enjoy life and see days of good must forbid his tongue from evil and his lips from words of deceit.
11
He must go far away from evil, do what is good, and strive for and follow peace.
13
Who is the one who will treat you badly if you are zealous to do what is good?
15
Rather, pledge allegiance to Al-Masih as mawla in your hearts. And always be ready to give an answer with kindness and respect to the person who asks you about the reason for your sure hope.
16
Keep your conscience pure, so that when people accuse you of doing bad, everyone who slanders you good behavior in obeying Al-Masih will be embarrassed.
17
It is better for you to suffer pains because of doing good, if that is the will of Allah, than to suffer because of doing evil.
19
In Al-Ruh, he went to the imprisoned spirits and announced
21
This symbolizes what saves you now, the ghusl of faith. This does not mean washing the body from dirt. It is the promise of Allah about a good conscience through the resurrection of Isa Al-Masih.
