Galatians

  Chapter 1   »

1
From Paul, the messenger, not from people or by the will of people, but by the will of Isa Al-Masih and Allah Al-Malik Al-Wadud, who resurrected him alive from among the dead,
2
and from all the brothers who are present with me. To the jama'as of chosen people in Galatia:
3
Grace and peace be upon you from our Rabb, Al-Malik Al-Rahman, and from our mawla Isa Al-Masih.
4
He sacrificed himself to ransom us from our sins, so that he would save us from the evil of this world by the will of our Rabb, Al-Malik Al-Rahman.
5
To him be the splendor always, forever and ever. Amen.
6
I am amazed how quickly you are turning away from the one who called you to himself by the grace of Al-Masih, and you are going astray to another "good news!"
7
There is no other good news except the good news of Al-Masih. However, there is a group of people who twist things for you and want to make you go astray.
8
But even if we or an angel from heaven gave "good news" to you that is other than this good news, may the curse of Allah be upon him!
9
As I said before, I repeat the saying: If anyone is giving "good news" to you that is not what you received, may the curse of Allah be upon him!
10
Am I trying to get the approval of people or of Allah? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to get the approval of people, I would not be a slave of Al-Masih.
11
Brother believers, I testify that the good news I gave you is not human "good news."
12
I did not receive it from people, nor did I learn it from people, but rather directly from a vision of Isa Al-Masih.
13
You have heard about my old way of life -- how I was a fanatic Yahudi who used to mercilessly persecute the jama'a of the chosen people of Allah and destroy them.
14
I was superior to many colleagues of my people in the matters of the religion of the Yahud, because I was very zealous for the sunnah of my ancestors.
15
Allah designated me before I was born and called me by his grace, and he willed
16
to reveal his beloved Amir in me so that I could give good news of him among the nations of the polytheists. So I did not ask advice from anyone.
17
I did not go to Al-Quds where the hawariyun before me were, but I traveled immediately to the lands of the Arabs, and then I returned to Damascus.
18
After three years I went to Al-Quds to visit Peter, and I remained with him fifteen days.
19
But I did not see any others of the hawariyun except Yacoub, the son of the mother of our mawla.
20
Allah is witness that I am not lying in what I write to you.
21
After that I traveled to the provinces of Syria and Cilicia.
22
The jama'as of chosen people who belong to Al-Masih in the province of Al-Quds did not know me by face.
23
They only heard: "The one who was persecuting us is now giving good news of the faith that he had tried to destroy."
24
And they praised Allah Al-Majeed because of me.
