Chapter 1 »
1
2
Brother believers, consider the trials that happen to you as reasons for complete joy.
3
You are sure that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4
Let the influence of patience be perfected in you, so that you can be perfect and complete, without any lack.
6
But he must ask it confidently without doubting, since the doubter is like the waves of the sea that are pushed and turned over by the winds.
7
Let the doubter not expect to receive anything from Rabb Al-Alamin.
8
He is hesitant between two opinions and unstable in all his paths.
9
Let the humble brother boast in his exalted position,
11
For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the grass. Its flower falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will wither in his paths.
12
Blessed is the person who is patient, firm, and honest in trials. Allah will have rida in him, and he will receive the crown of life, which Allah has promised to those who love him.
13
The person who is passing through trials should not say: "Allah is trying me with evil." Evil is not a trial to Allah, and Allah does not try anyone with evil.
14
Passion in the essence of a person is what tempts him by attracting him and enticing him.
15
When passion gets pregnant, it gives birth to sin. When sin grows up strong, it spawns death.
16
Therefore do not go astray, beloved brothers.
19
Make sure of this, beloved brothers! Every one of you must be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.
20
Human anger does not produce righteousness that is acceptable to Allah.
21
So push away all uncleanness and the evil that is getting worse among you. Accept the word that is planted in you with meekness. It is able to save your souls.
22
Do the word of Allah, and do not be satisfied with only hearing it. That would deceive yourselves.
23
The person who listens to the word and does not do it is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror,
24
and then turns away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
25
But the person who scrutinizes the perfect sharia of freedom, remains obsessed with it, and does it, not hearing it and forgetting it, is blessed in what he does.
26
Whoever imagines that he is religious and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart has a worthless religion.
