Revelation

«   Chapter 12   »

1
A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman dressed with the sun, with the moon under her feet. On her head was a crown with twelve stars.
2
She was pregnant, and was shouting and suffering torture in labor pains.
3
Another sign appeared in heaven: a great red dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven crowns on its heads.
4
With its tail, it had drawn one third of the stars of the heavens and thrown them on the earth. Then the dragon stood in front of the woman who was going to give birth so that he could devour her son as soon as he was born.
5
As soon as she had given birth to a son, who was going to care for all nations with a staff of iron, Allah protected him and raised him to his throne.
6
The woman fled into the wilderness, where Allah had prepared a refuge for her to be cared for for one thousand, two hundred and sixty days.
7
A war broke out in the heavens. Mikal and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. The dragon and his angels fought against them,
8
but Mikal defeated them. There was no longer any place for them in heaven,
9
since the great dragon was expelled from it. The great dragon is the ancient snake who is called Iblis and Al-Shaitan, the one who misleads the whole earth. He was thrown down to the earth, as were his angels.
10
I heard a loud sound in heaven saying: "The time of the salvation, power, and kingdom of Rabb Al-Alamin, and the authority of his Masih, since the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down. He accuses them night and day in front of Allah.
11
They have conquered him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their shahada, since they did not love their lives at all, even in the face of death.
12
So rejoice, heaven and its inhabitants! Woe to you, land and sea, because Iblis has been thrown down to you with severe anger, knowing that his time is short!"
13
When the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to a male.
14
Allah gave the woman two wings like a great eagle, with which she could fly to her place in the wilderness, where she would be cared for a time, two times, and half a time, far away from the face of the snake.
15
The snake released from his mouth a river of water behind the woman to drown her.
16
But the earth helped the woman and was split open like a mouth, and swallowed the river that came out of the mouth of the dragon.
17
So the dragon was angry with the woman and declared war on the rest of her seed, who are the people who keep the commands of Allah and stay firmly in the shahada to Isa.
18
The dragon stood on the sand by the sea.
