«   Chapter 11   »

1
So I say: Has Allah rejected his umma? May Allah forbid it! I myself am one of Bani Israil, of the seed of Ibrahim, of the Sibt of Benjamin Bin Yacoub.
2
Allah has not rejected his umma that he knew beforehand. Do you not know the complaint of Ilyas to Allah about Bani Israil in the kitab?
3
"Rabb, they have killed your anbiya and destroyed your altars of sacrifice, and I alone remain, and they are trying to kill me."
4
How does Allah answer him? "I have chosen for myself seven thousand men, none of whom has bowed down to the idol Baal."
5
Therefore, today, there is still a remainder Allah has chosen by his grace.
6
But if the choice of Allah is according to grace, works have no hand in that. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace.
7
What should we conclude? Bani Israil did not get the righteousness they tried to get, but the chosen people got it. The hearts of the rest were hardened.
8
This is a confirmation of what Allah said in the kitab: "Allah threw on them a spirit of sluggishness. Their eyes do not see, and their ears do not hear up until today."
9
Also there is the dua' prayer of Dawood: "Allah, make their dining table a snare, a trap, a hindrance, and revenge.
10
Make their eyes dark so they cannot see, and make their backs bent forever."
11
I ask you: Have Bani Israil stumbled a final stumble? Make Allah not permit it! But because of their disobedience, the saving mercy of Allah has included the nations of the polytheists, so that Bani Israil would be jealous of them.
12
Their disobedience was richness of the baraka of Allah for all mankind, and their loss was richness of his baraka to the nations of the polytheists. So how great will their full repentance be!
13
You non-Yahud, I am the messenger appointed for you. I am proud of this message,
14
so that I can stir up the jealousy of my people Bani Israil to guide some of them to the path of salvation.
15
If Allah rejected them in order to reconcile the rest of mankind, their acceptance will make the dead alive!
16
If the offering of the beginning of the harvest of wheat is dedicated to Allah, then all the dough will also be dedicated to him. If the root is dedicated to Allah, the branches are also dedicated to him.
17
Allah cut off some of the branches of his olive tree and grafted you in their place, though you were from originally from a wild olive tree. So you became a partner in the rich root of the olive tree.
18
So do not boast over the branches that were cut off. If you do, remember that you are indebted to the root. It is not indebted to you.
19
No doubt you will say: "Branches were cut off so I could be grafted in their place."
20
True. But Allah cut them off because of their disbelief, and you are firm through trust. So do not be proud, but fear Allah!
21
If Allah did not have mercy on the natural branches, he will not have mercy on you either.
22
Allah is Al-Latif and Al-Muntaqim. He is vengeful to those who fell, and kind to you as long as you remain firmly in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
23
Allah will re-graft in even the people who have been cut off, if they repent from their disbelief. Allah can do anything.
24
Allah cut you off of a wild olive tree and grafted you, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree. How much easier will it be to graft those original branches back into their own olive tree!
25
Brothers, I do not want for you to be jahil of this mystery, so that you would not consider yourselves wise: Hardening of the heart has afflicted a group of Bani Israil so that Allah can bring the full number from nations of polytheists into his mercy.
26
And all Bani Israil will be saved, according to the saying of Allah in the kitab: "The rescuer will come from Al-Quds and will eliminate kufr from Bani Yacoub.
27
This is my covenant with them when I forgive their sins."
28
They are the enemies of Allah according to the good news for your benefit, but they are preferred according to his choice, for the sake of their ancient fathers.
29
For Allah will not take back his gifts and his calling.
30
You were disobedient before and have entered now into the mercy of Allah because of the disobedience of the Yahud.
31
So they also disobey now so that Allah can have mercy on them because of his mercy to you.
32
Allah has jailed everyone in disobedience so that he can have mercy on everyone.
33
The richness of Allah and his wisdom and knowledge are so great! It is so hard to realize his regulations and to discover his paths!
34
"Who has realized the mind of Rabb Al-Alamin? He is Al-Rashid Al-Hakeem.
35
Who gave Allah anything? He is Al-Wahhab, and not in debt to anyone."
36
He is the Khaliq of everything and the Hafeez of everything and the owner of everything. He has glory and splendor forever. Amen."
